Project Summary

French Car Parts UK website was a very old HTML site therefore my aim was to meet the business needs by designing and developing a new fully responsive website using Adobe XD and then implementing on Webflow. This included new logo branding, site layout and making the design more crisp and bright.

Project Brief

At French Car Parts UK they requested a modern, clean design that looked great on all devices. Competition in the breaking vehicles industry is high so it is essential to make a great first impression and keep pushing good quality standards.

Steps taken

1. Discuss with client and make note of all requirements

2. Mock up drawings of a new logo branding using the colour scheme details provided.

3. Redesign each of the current pages in adobe XD for the layout changes.

4. Walkthrough meeting with client to show the mock up designs.

5. Web Development then carried forward within Webflow using the mock ups.

6. Handover new Web Design and Development to the client.

The Process

From the brief i was given the main colour scheme which was red, white and blue to match the french flag colours. I used these colours to then design a new logo and branding for the client.

Then after the logo it was time to design a clean and simple Website designing the feature banner welcoming customers with a custom image on the top right. I also created a top rated banner for the ebay account to show that French Car Parts UK is a trusted seller.

I then designed a multi slideshow which was separated by Vehicle Makes at the bottom to meet the clients needs of showing what stock they have on offer.

A simple contact form was also designed and created.

The main process was migrating the site from a standard HTML website to one that is managed by Webflow. Over time this will allow the client to make content changes themselves and save both time, money and create efficiency.

One of the other main tasks were to create a contact form as on the previous site it was just an email link and telephone details that the user would then need to document or contact themselves. Therefore a new contact form was created along with a google map, opening hours, address and other contact details, this was developed so that the client will receive any contact to there email address and with also route replies so that the client does not need to log into the Webflow account to be able to reply back to visiting customers.
